Jonathan Coburn
Bio
Jonathan is founder and director of Social Value Lab. He established the Lab to foster new ways of thinking and working within our public services and in building social ventures.
He brings almost 20 years’ experience in social research, strategic planning, and evaluation. Prior to founding the Lab, he held the position of Director responsible for social research and community consulting at a national research agency. In previous positions in the voluntary sector and public sector, he developed a track record of delivering community regeneration, capacity building, social enterprise support, and action research programmes in some of the UK’s most disadvantaged communities.
Driven and creative, he leads on most of our research, design, strategy, innovation, and evaluation work. He also leads on our new ventures and programmes: Partners for Change; Social Innovation Scotland; Research4Change, and more.
