The call for evidence-based practice, resource efficiency, and proven outcomes means that rigorous evaluation is becoming ever more important. Done well, robust evaluation can help to dramatically transform an organisation’s prospects.
The Social Value Lab helps to conduct rigorous, outcome-based evaluation work. We apply this expertise in a variety of ways.
Organisational review. We offer diagnostic reviews and health checks to assess progress, performance, and capacity.
Monitoring frameworks. We help design and implement effective project monitoring arrangements.
Project evaluations. We conduct independent evaluations of all kinds of projects, services, partnerships, and initiatives.
Sector and portfolio reviews. We independently evaluate portfolios of publicly funded projects as well as investment in key fields (e.g. arts, learning, etc.)
Programme evaluations. We bring significant experience in managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder programme evaluations.
Self-evaluation support. We provide guidance, training and mentoring intended to embed good monitoring and evaluation practice.
The Lab uses evaluation as a tool to facilitate learning and change. We use techniques that are highly participative and inclusive, and are committed to demystifying evaluation rather than making clients dependent on us. Our staff that are members of the UK Evaluation Society.
